Green Edventures Baja Women’s Snorkeling Adventure & Gray Whales Tour Videos

In December Green Edventures Founder & Trip Leader, Tara Short hosted a Zoom Informational session about our annual women’s adventures Baja Women’s Snorkeling and Gray Whales Tour online. If you missed it, here is the replay with lots of helpful information about this small group journey for women who snorkel, and for women who love wildlife. This women’s travel group tour was designed for women who dreamed of being a marine biologist as a kid. This women’s snorkeling adventures in the Sea of Cortez and Gray Whales Tour will make your dreams come true.

On our annual Baja Women’s Snorkeling and Gray Whales Tour, Green Edventures and our expert local guides introduce women to amazing animals through up-close encounters most people only dream about. The trip starts in Cabo San Lucas but we go far from the crowds right after leaving the airport. The first part of the adventure takes places in the sleepy town of Puerto Lopez Mateos, a fishing village on shores of Magdalena Bay. Between December and April, Gray Whales make their mighty migration to these protected waters to mate and to give birth. Here, you will meet Gray Whales up close, so close, you may be able to touch them!

After a life-changing Gray Whales tour at Magdalena Bay, we head to La Paz, the Gateway to the Sea of Cortez! Our fast boat will take us out to Espiritu Santo Island. For four fabulous nights, participants will glamp on an uninhabited island in the care of a crew and guides. By day, this Baja women’s adventure introduces participants to the Sea of Cortez. The Sea of Cortez, or Gulf of California, is one of the most biologically diverse marine systems in the world! Here, you can snorkel among colorful reef fish and over coral reefs and meet some amazing animals. A huge highlight is snorkeling at Los Isolates with a colony of 400 wild and playful sea lions! Juvenile sea lions like to nibble on your fins, do summersaults with you, climb on your back, or play chicken as they zoom toward you then veer off at last minute.

Just when you think the trip can’t get any better, on our Baja women’s snorkeling adventure, the grand finale is getting gill-to-gill with the largest fish in the world, — snorkeling with whale sharks! Whale sharks are gentle giants. Like an underwater freight train, these creature move along the surface while we snorkel along observing them as they filter tiny creatures from the water column.

At night, women love sharing stories about their adventures together at camp. The beach camp is a one billion start hotel. You will go to bed each night tired from a day full from the delicious freshly prepared food and and tired from taking in fun-filled days of adventure and friendship.
