From the moment we stepped out of the plane until the moment we got back on the plane we were very well taken care of in every way possible. The hotels were top-notch. The van to get around was comfortable. Tara and her guides were all … More so wonderful and accommodating in every way. Tara loves what she does and is great at making each day amazing while keeping us safe and comfortable. The experiences we had were perfection. From snorkeling with sea lions to petting a gray whale to being educated along the way. It doesn’t get better. Traveling with women that are like-minded made each one of us stronger and wiser. Green Edventures is a great company. We will be back!! -

Tara Short and Ingabörg Guðjónsdóttir have created a well thought out trip to recharge your mind and soul. We visited many unique hot springs and pools. Each day was an adventure learning about natural energy flow, breathing techniques, … More and meditation practices. We experienced a sound bath in a yurt, which was amazing! I even took a dip in the Artic Ocean, which was exhilarating. Ingabörd shared a lot of the hidden gems and historical places that you wouldn't experience on any other tours. The best part of this small group trip was meeting like minded people and witnessing everyone's transformation to their best self. Looking forward to using Green Edventures for future trips. -

I was lucky enough to join the first Iceland Magic Yarn Knitting and Northern Lights Trip. Words can hardly describe how amazing and wonderful a trip this was. Tara made this trip so enjoyable and fulfilling. There was help all along the … More way for all knitting levels from someone who has never picked up needles to someone who has been knitting most their life!
Being an all women group further added to the magic that took place while we were in Iceland. I can truly say I have never been on a trip like this. Every single one of us walked away friends and with a bond that will last for a very long time.
One of the best things of this trip that it wasn't just knitting. We visited hot springs, farms, yarn stores, and parks as well along with stories and histories of the island. It was a perfect balance of activities and knitting.
It was my first time traveling with Green Edventures and it certainly won't be my last! -

I had a wonderful time, exploring Iceland with the fire and ice trip. The leader, Kelly and the guide Inga were very professional and caring. Inga told many wonderful stories as she drove and guided us through Iceland. Kelly made sure that … More we had what we needed as we explored waterfalls and glaciers and Hot Springs. I will miss them.
I enjoyed trying all of the various foods of Iceland. The lamb was delicious as was the rye bread baked underground. That was the best bread I’ve ever eaten. I recommend this trip to anyone who would like to explore Iceland. -

I just completed the Baja trip and everything was amazing!! The people who took care of us were warm and helpful! The food on the glamping portion of the trip was fresh and delicious. Our encounters with whales and sea lions exceeded our … More expectations. Tara runs a top tier tour company and handles everything along with her experienced staff! I have used 3 other tour companies and I will be booking with this incredible company again! -

This trip was a highlight of my entire life! I was hoping for a Mindfulness-based peaceful journey and a few hot springs. What I got was a life-changing experience! Nine women traveling From Reykjavík the entire way to Akureyri having … More laughs, conversation, journaling, learning about Iceland, And a hot spring/hot tub every single day for 10 days! We even got into the Arctic ocean after learning how to breathe and how to do it from our Icelandic guide, Inga. Inga and the company owner, Tara, created my perfect trip! I've been dreaming of going there for many years and it far exceeded my expectations. I made some friends with whom I know I will stay in touch. This country is the most scenic, beautiful landscape I've ever seen. The people are friendly, the cities and country are very clean, the water taste better than any water you can get anywhere else, and they even have gas station ice cream that beats anything I get in an ice cream shop here! I realize my review sounds effusive, But this trip is a treasure. I definitely plan to go on more trips with Green Edventures in the future. ~Peace Kathy Groft -

Green Edventures is amazing! I went on the Iceland Outdoor Sports trip and absolutely loved it! The tour with Tara was fantastic. Traveling with Green Edventures to Iceland on the Multi-Sport tour offered me the opportunity to explore a beautiful country and to find my “inner Viking.” Sharing this experience with a group of women built friendships that can last a … More lifetime and memories that will last equally as long. We engaged with the (four legged) locals, explored the beauty of Iceland’s countryside and rest our heads in comfortable lodgings every evening. If only given one word of advice to women who wish to travel solo or celebrate a special milestone with friends, it would be “Go!” I’m already looking to see what my next Green Edventure trip will be! -

I just returned from a women’s adventure tour in Greenland with Green Edventures. The experience has been life changing. The magnificence of Greenland cannot be overstated. Everyday was a new and awe inspiring experience. We hiked on a … More glacier into an ice cave, which will forever be one of the most incredible experiences of my life. We watched humpback whales bubble net feeding, each moment feeling joy that I was sharing a world with these beautiful animals. We traveled into the fjords, seeing the ever changing waters of the arctic. With our experienced guides, we had opportunities to experience the local community of East Greenland and submerge ourselves into the awesome landscapes. All of this while traveling with a group a new, fascinating friends. -

Recently returned from Green Edventures July Iceland multi-sport tour. This was my first experience with a tour. I was able to connect with a couple of ladies ahead of time and make additional plans pre and post tour with a buddy. The … More tour was exceptional with full days of adventures and sight seeing. Our guides Tara and Inga were fun as well as very knowledgeable about the history of the places we visited. They were prepared to make alternative plans according to the weather or circumstances (like the ring road flood and closure) so we never missed out on an activity. The accomodations and food were great. We lucked out with the weather. I hope to participate in future tours with Green Edventures. -

Women’s Iceland Knitting and Northern Lights Tour was a well planned, informative and delightful trip. In addition to the beautiful scenery, we were immersed in Icelandic culture and history. I just returned from another Green Edventures trip, this time to Alaska. The trip highlights included beautiful scenery, challenging hikes, white water rafting, sea kayaking, and delicious healthy meals. As always, (my 11th trip) the … More trip was highly organized and provided nonstop adventures. It was perfect for a single traveler or for one bringing a friend. I highly recommend Green Edventures. I just got back from the Vancouver Island trip with Tara and it was an amazing experience. I am someone that would never travel alone so I am glad that I found Tara and her company so that I could explore with her and a small group of wonderful … More women. This was my first trip with her and both she and Carrie were great about answering all of the silly questions I had before the trip. We saw so much wildlife and the most beautiful scenery. Tara did a wonderful job organizing everything. She is very professional and was so respectful to all of our guides that we had. I would recommend Green Edventures to anyone and can’t wait for my next trip! -

Update-trip to Galápagos Islands. Added pictures. Like minded women with sense of adventure!.Fantastic Experience is the short review. The longer story is that I have been on two Edventures with Green Edventures to Peru and Baja California … More and the Sea of Cortez (Gulf of California). I have learned so much about these places and myself along the way. I have friends I did not have before.Tara Short and does an amazing job of connecting with local guide companies and together they make an itinerary that have active and quiet times. The group builds cohesiveness over the time together and I feel I now have life long friends with similar mind sets. I went from never wanting to travel to wanting to be part all the adventures that Green Edventures provides. For a woman traveling alone is it amazing how the activities and quiet times build the group dynamic and strong friendships develop. There is always a helping hand or encouragement if needed. Along with celebrating the success of each other. Strongly recommend!! -

This could not have been a better experience! The hotels, food, guides and experiences were all top notch. Transfers from place to place were seamless. I just returned from a Green Edventures women’s trip to Iceland and highly recommend them. Our trip leader Kelly and tour guide Inga were incredible. Our accommodations and meals were of excellent quality and we had the perfect mix of activities … More and downtime. We hiked across glaciers, climbed a vertical ice wall in a glacial fissure with crampons and ice axes, saw waterfalls and tissues between tectonic plates, drove buggies, learned about Iceland history and culture, and saw the gorgeous northern lights. -

I attended the first Knitting themed tour of Iceland. It was a great trip; well planned, personable and knowledgeable trip leader Tara. Our local guide Inga was funny, great driver and knows the history of her island. Bergros, knitwear … More designer, traveled with us, she generously gave each of us her shawl book. We had knitting “class” with her each morning. She was very encouraging and inspiring. Overall it was a great trip and I would recommend a trip with Green Edventures. -

I just completed (August 2024) the Iceland Women’s South Coast Mult-Sport Eco Tour, and I loved every minute of it. I just moved back to Iceland after living in the US for 30 years and was eager to see the best of Iceland. As an active … More person, I was especially drawn to the multi-sport options as a part of this tour. It exceeded my expectations! Each day and activity was better than the next. It is an excellent blend of sightseeing, with a superb local guide and activities that suit all participants. I can´t say enough about this tour other than recommend it highly. -

Green edventures is the only way to see Iceland. I experienced an Iceland most tourists miss. I saw so many places and enjoyed so many unique experiences in 9 days. Tara has created the perfect schedule of activities to avoid the tourist … More crowds. Tara and our local guide have great relationships with all the local people. We received special treatment because of their relationships and it made us feel special. The food choices were delicious at the restaurants that we visited. Also, other treats were yum our local guide took us to, such as gas station ice cream. We were blessed with a fantastic local guide who shared information about the history, folklore, farming, foods and day to day life. She even read Icelandic storybooks to us while we were stuck in a traffic jam. Our entire group of women listened enraptured while she read. The group of us started as strangers and left as friends, hoping to connect in future adventures. If you are looking for fun, comradery and one of a kind experiences, this trip is for you -

The Women’s July South Coast Multi-Sport Eco Tour to Iceland (Jul 2024) was exceptional. Tara ensures that all top sites are visited, managing every detail with precision. The itinerary is full, yet thanks to her expertise, the pace feels … More comfortable and unrushed. Despite the unpredictable weather in Iceland, Tara handled changes seamlessly, maintaining the tour's smooth flow. I can't wait to join another of her tours. Highly recommended! -

I have been on two trips with Green Edventures and both have been awesome! The first was a through hike in Iceland, the Laugavegur trail; and the second was the Iceland Knitting and Northern Lights tour. The knitting tour finished just over … More a week ago. I met awesome women who were also on the tour, and I also got to meet some awesome Icelandic women. We had time for knitting, time for viewing the northern lights, and excursions. The excursions included visiting people on their farms and in their homes and workshops to learn about sheep, goats, wool, and yarn.Green Edventures did a great job making sure we had fun things to do and an excellent knitting experience. Somehow they also contrived to have perfect clear nights for aurora-watching! The sky was amazing!I plan to make time for more Green Edventures tours in the future! -

I’ve been home several days now after thoroughly enjoying the Green Edventures Muti-Sport Eco Tour of Iceland’s south coast. This tour far exceeded my expectations. There aren’t enough accolades to express how much fun this trip was. Tara … More is the best tour leader I’ve ever experienced. She makes her job of organizing all the activities for the 14 women on this trip look so easy when we all know how stressful it can be. Her attention to detail and knowledge of how to pivot activities if the weather changes was seamless. She participated in all the activities with us as did our local guide. Their playful nature energized everyone yet their professionalism was always on display when it counted. This was my first women’s trip ( I’m 71 y/o) and I can’t believe how much fun I’ve been missing. I’d do another trip with Tara or another Green Edventures trip leader without question. All of our lodging choices were conveniently located and comfortable. This was the trip of a lifetime! Do it!! -

Pure magic! Iceland - The Magic Knitting & Northern Lights tour exceeds all expectations. We had the best of two worlds - leisurely time knitting and learning with one of Iceland’s premiere knitting designers balanced with more active … More time touring fiber studios and museums and hiking in the glorious Icelandic landscape. This isn’t one of those touristy trips - we were in artisans’ homes and studios, got to participate in the local rettir (sheep roundup) and eat what Icelanders eat.And the Northern Lights!!!! This is a magical trip whether or not you knit (they’ll teach you!). Go to Iceland with Green Edventures - you’ll be glad you did! -

This was one of those trips of a lifetime that was unexpected, and at the same time; just perfect. As we were kayaking in the still, clear waters of the Sea of Cortez with our group, I thought to myself this is it! This is the level of … More aliveness that I want to feel when I travel. Living with our group on the island for those 4 nights felt like home. We ate delicious food, had excursions that were modified for the individual levels, laughed really hard together, had good conversation and created friendships that were meaningful. The whole support group was fabulous. Kristen, Cabelo, Michelle, and the rest of them were magnificent. We learned so much from them about ocean life, the desert, what we can do to keep our planet safe. The most important thing is that I felt safe and I trusted them. It allowed me to relax and really sink into the experience with an open heart and mind. Iceland is next!!! -

This trip was my first with Green Edventures and pushed me, physically! There were some aspects of the trip that were surprising and difficult with the heaviness of the large "Tuff Sack" drybags and the schedule that we were … More expected to follow each day. The meals were incredible and the Aggipah outfitter guides were skilled, helpful, and knowledgeable! Lori Anderson, who led the trip and Kelly Turner, who assisted were skilled, helpful, and courteous to all! The Main Salmon River Ladies Rafting Trip was overall a great trip from start to finish. I enjoyed my time with all of the "Salmon Sisters" who were a part of this fabulous rafting, camping, and kayaking experience! -

I went on the Costa Rica trip and it was INCREDIBLE! Beautiful locations, fantastic hikes, and I learned a lot. The eco lodge accomodations are so close to nature that it makes it easy to unplug and unwind. 6am bird walks with a knowledgeable … More guide were heaven for a bird nerd like me. Enjoy local food with locally grown fruit, learn just how much effort goes into coconut oil, and witness the majesty of the jungle. Your two guides will make sure your trip will go smoothly. 10/10 would go again. -

I just came back from the Costa Rica Trip, and I can't say enough good things about my experience. This was a dream trip for me, as I love camping, kayaking, hiking, nature watching, snorkeling, and handcrafting. Green Edventures … More handled all the logistics (many!) and freed our time to savor Costa Rica's remarkable beauty at our isolated eco-lodges. Our nature guide, Pepe, was top-notch and has such a passion for his work, he never ran out of steam, considering all the animals, plants and insects he introduced to us. I joined this trip solo, but felt right at home with the other women on this trip. Why? Because the type of woman who chooses this kind of "edventure" is not looking for tourist traps and do-nothing vacations. She is bright, loves being immersed in nature as well as learning new things about it. If you're the type of woman who forgets that she doesn't have all the comforts of home when she sees the most remarkable birds, fantastically colorful fish, pristine beaches, neon-colored frogs jumping before her feet, eerily moody mangroves, or hears the rain forest's morning serenade, with the surprising and mysteriously powerful calls of the howler monkeys, then book this trip. You won't regret it. -

First, we genuinely were cared for- in terms of our dietary restrictions, personal comfort, and needs. There's a difference between feeling cared for and actually being cared for. Definitely was the latter with Green Ed.Second, we … More were made to feel safe. Driving was extremely safe and efficient, all local restaurants were well-chosen, and all excursions were done with regard for our physical and emotional safety.Third, there is great knowledge of the wildlife and the ecosystems. Because local guides and establishments are utilized, great care is taken to introduce students to the local flora and fauna in a knowledgeable manner with expertise. For example, going to the sea lion colony at the opportune time created the experience of a lifetime (literally). Intimate knowledge of the desert terrain afforded us a comfortable (early morning) visit to the rugged desert coastline (see pics). In total, I would certainly recommend Green Ed for any future trip I was taking to a region where I had little (to no) experience. The staff and contracted partners are completely knowledgeable and trustworthy. It was truly an unforgettable experience for everyone in the group (including me, the instructor). -

I went on the Spring 2024 trip to Baja Sur, Mexico with Green Edventures and the company owner, Tara, was our guide. Tara is amazing and she puts so much time, research, energy and thought into creating an organized, special and once-in-a-lifetime … More kind of travel experience. We were partnered on this Baja trip with a local group, Fun Baja, and their team was fantastic. From start to finish, the trip was thoughtfully organized, well-paced and full of special moments and opportunities. The pre-trip communication ensured our questions were answered and we felt well prepared for the experience. Spending time on both the Pacific side of Baja and then on the Sea of Cortez for several days was extraordinary. We were treated with one magical wildlife encounter after another. Amazing snorkeling, whale sharks, sea lions, gray whales and even a big tail wave from a humpback whale. The travel experience was a dream! I was so impressed with Tara and Green Edventures and am already looking to book another trip. The challenge for me will be how to pick which one to take next. This trip was packed with activities that were fun, exciting and educational. The active parts of this trip were phenomenal. Snorkeling with complete instruction started in shallow water and progressed towards deeper and more challenging … More environments. Tara, Michelle and Chabelo made sure that everyone felt comfortable and ready for the more challenging snorkel adventures. It progressed at each individual's pace without rushing. As a newer, less experienced snorkeler I appreciated the attention and non rushed approach. We progressed from beach snorkeling, to off the boat around rocks and coral reefs to swimming with sea lions and whale sharks! There were also land excursions which I loved, especially through the desert learning about all the different cacti and the importance of the mangrove. The local support team were so great. Kind, compassionate and extremely involved in their love of their home. We camped on the beach in tents with cots which was very comfortable. Food was fantastic, locally sourced and cooked with love by a resident. Tara made this trip special for each person. Checking in, making sure we were doing ok, making us laugh with all of her stories. She is humble and down to earth and loves this area with all of its wonders. She had an amazing rapport with the local staff, obviously feels they are part of her family. She wants everyone to succeed. I had problems on one snorkel and after recovering, she guided me to a successful and unforgettable experience, never with reluctance or pity, but with strength and support. Thank you Tara! I would add that the planning is wonderful and all parts of the trip were communicated clearly. Questions answered and expectations were always communicated. Love this company and I look forward to my next trip with Green Edventures. -

The Baja tour was absolutely magnificent! From the moment we landed (three hours late!) & Chabello had waited for us to drive us another 2 hours, I realized I could breathe & everything was totally taken care of "behind the … More scenes" so that our lovely and powerful group of 10 women could have an EPIC, adventurous, unforgettable expedition together. And we did! With the guidance of our fearless leader Kristen, along with Michele and Chabello, I learned so, so much & moved through some inner fears I might not have been presented with unless there was their gentle, knowing encouragement to support us in trusting our courage. The glamping for four nights on Isla Espiritu Santo in our private cove was absolutely exceptional and my experience with the whales, the stunning swim with the sea lions & the feeling of communing with the ocean, earth & unbelievable starry night skies will remain with me for the rest of my life. And I can't forget to mention the abundance of food made by Anna & the back up support of Martin, Chuy and our boat captain Andreas made it so awesome too which matters when out in the elemental beauty of it all! Thank you all so much for making this adventure so amazing! I can't wait for Iceland 2025! -

The Iceland Hot Springs and Mindfulness Retreat spoke to me as soon as the itinerary was posted on the Green Edventures website. The promise of soaking in geothermal pools, learning new mindfulness techniques, and the hope of seeing northern … More lights convinced me to sign up. But in the end, the trip left me with so much more. This was my fourth trip as a solo traveler with Green Edventures. As with the other trips, the trip leader and our local guide took such good care of us. Tara Short’s positive energy and authentic concern for each individual made everyone in the group feel special. Ingibjörg Gudjonsdottir’s guiding experience, knowledge, and love for her home country was evident as she relayed history, folklore, and personal stories throughout the journey. Their deep friendship and natural playfulness kept us laughing. Together, they opened our hearts and minds to Iceland. Each day was a new “edventure.” Tara and Inga ensured we were well prepared in terms of what to wear, what to have in our day packs, and what to expect as we traveled to the next location. We walked on black sand beaches, snowshoed among birch trees and conifers, explored colorful towns, learned about Icelandic sagas and folklore, and enjoyed a local brewery. Viewing stunning fjords and waterfalls, stopping to photograph Icelandic horses, visiting a turf church, and hiking through lava fields are just a few more highlights. Did I mention the delicious food and comfy cozy hotels? Each day was unique and completely amazing. The geothermal heated spas, pools, and lagoons facilitated a soul-deep relaxation I’ve not experienced before. Floating in the steamy waters with snow flakes falling on my face is an experience I won’t soon forget. On the other hand, Inga’s guidance and breathing techniques allowed me to literally take the plunge in to the Arctic Ocean (3° C/38° F). The word “exhilarating” only just begins to describe how I felt. It was an emotional high.Prior to the trip, I had explored meditation and mindfulness mostly via online apps. The in-person guided sessions with Svava Brooks and Olof Atladottir, as well as meditations lead by Tara and yoga flow with Inga, provided a deeper understanding and connection I had yet to achieve on my own. Sharing the experience with 12 other women made it very special and made meditation something that I want to continue to explore. It gave me an awareness of a much larger universe in which the northern lights will always shine bright.Bless Ísland (Goodbye Iceland). I hope to return one day, but until then, you will remain in my heart. -

We participated in all marine activities: snorkeling, whale watching, kayaking and hiking. All activates Incorporated educational elements that were unique to the area. Kristen, Chebelo and Michele did an excellent job with hands on learning that enhanced each event. The glamping location was pristine and magical. Meals included local and delicious cuisine. The whole trip was well organized and felt effortless from beginning to end. -

I just completed my third trip with GreenEdventures and I’m already trying decide what the next one will be. Every trip has been a “trip of a lifetime,” so it’s really setting a new bar for travel. Each one has been outstanding - well organized, … More well planned and just the right mix of activities, adventures and learning. Sign up, show up at the appointed time and they take care of the rest, right down to the super detailed and very helpful packing lists. And the best part is that at the end of each trip I feel like I’ve made a whole set of new friends. Be prepared to increase your annual travel budget, because if you take one trip, you’ll end up wanting to take them all! -

I had such a fabulous trip to Roatan! It was amazing to snorkel in the coral reef and actually be part of the coral restoration program there! There were other special activities every day. I felt safe and well taken care of at all times. … More Kristen was a positive and knowledgeable trip leader - promoting a sense of community with humor and encouragement. It was my first trip with Tara and hopefully there will be more! -

My Winter Wolves and Wildlife Adventure has just ended and it exceeded my every expectation. The trip was planned with exacting oversight by our Tour Leader Tara and everything went off without a hitch. She ensured that we had the best … More guide and tracker, Michelle from Yellowstone Wolf Tracker, and that our itinerary provided rich and rewarding experiences in Yellowstone. Understanding that our group was exceptionally lucky we were all thrilled to see a wide variety of animals including wolves, one at close range and a bobcat. The conditions were challenging given the freezing temperatures but we were all well prepared thanks to Tara’s guidance and detailed packing list. This trip was the experience of a lifetime in which indelible memories were created! -

I had the greatest experience with Green Edventures and the owner/tour leader, Tara Short. I traveled with GE this past summer to Iceland on a 5 day trek through the Laugavegur Trail (plus pre-tour). The trip was exceptionally well planned. … More Months in advance of the trip, we were given a detailed trip guide and list of suggested items to bring on the trek. We had a zoom conference before the trip to meet all the participants and ask questions about the tour. We were all so well prepared for the trek! Tara is an amazing person and wonderful trip leader. Iceland was spectacular, but what made this trip so special and unique was Tara and the group of ladies participating on the trek - we had so much fun together! Now looking forward to the next adventure with GE and Tara! -

I just got home from my trip to Yellowstone. People are asking me how was my trip - amazing, wonderful, educational, outstanding are just a few of my descriptive words. Tara’s planning of all the details is the best. Michele, our guide … More from Yellowstone Wolf Tacker has incredible knowledge. The weather was cold 🥶 but the packing listing provided great detail - follow it and you will be prepared. I have wanted to go to Yellowstone in the winter for 48 years - this trips was more than I ever dreamed it would be. -

I have been on two trips with Tara and loved both adventures! It stretched my comfort zone, yet I always knew I was going to be OK. If you can have the perfect balance between planning and being flexible, Tara is it! I learned so much -- … More about the places I visited, about the people who lived there, about myself. And I made some really good friends along the way. I"d recommend a trip with Green Edventures to anyone! -

Safari trip to Uganda with Green Edventures was amazing!!! It surpassed my wildest expectations. Everything was thought through, organized yet flexibility factored in if needed. Tara was professional, friendly and brought out the adventure … More side of everyone. She arranged a trip that partnered with a tour company (Journeys Uganda) that was incredibly knowledgeable and showed us the beauty of Uganda and its people. Definitely plan to do another tour with Green Edventures in the future. -

After hiking the Laugavegur trail with Green Edventures last year, Tara agreed to organize the same hike for women 60+ in 2023. I loved it so much at age 70 that I decided to come back at age 71 and I don't regret one step! If you … More are in decent shape, good health, enjoy hiking across diverse and unbelievably beautiful terrain, don't ,miss out on this trek in 2024. I cannot say enough great things about Tara and Green Edventures! I went on the Alaskan Hiking Adventure in 2018 and Adventure it was! Completely got me out of my comfort zone and I loved every minute of it! I knew I was gonna have fun … More and see amazing landscape but the trip blew my mind! I came home and people were asking if I really went all the way to Alaska and slept in a tent...yes, yes I did and it was a blast!! One of the best parts is that I made lifelong friends on this trip! Green Edventures Costa Rica 2023 exceeded my expectations on every level. From the very experienced, capable and professional leadership to the variety of experiences and locations, incredible bird and wildlife sightings, all with the camaraderie … More of strong, bold women. The trip was educational, fun, incredible beauty, amazing time in nature, and at times, felt like a connection to the Divine. Thank you so much Kelly and Pepe for all the energy you put into making this an extraordinary experience. -

Five stars for the Costa Rica trip. I would highly recommend this trip. Everything was well organized and the experiences were magical. I thought the tour leader and local guide were both wonderful. I learned a lot about the various plants … More and animals and greatly enjoyed all of the time spent in nature. Traveling solo can be intimidating, so I loved that Green Edventures took care of all the details and I felt comfortable from the moment I arrived. -

I am a seasoned woman full of adventure. This is my 4th trip with Green Edventure and hopefully not my last one. All trips have expanded my imagination, stretched my comfort zone, challenged my desire to grow and experience life and educated … More me more than ever! It’s such a coming together of like-minded women regardless of age who supported each other. My first trip was unimaginable, life changing, hiking in Iceland, followed by the discovery of the wildlife in the Alaskan back country, then the over- the- top (pinch me if it’s real) safari in Uganda and last week the Baja Sea of Cortez adventure. On this latest trip, we had a fabulous marine biologist travel with us the entire trip plus a wonderful local expert. Just picture yourself living in a wet suit, snorkeling/diving in caves with the puppy sea lions, up close and personal with the gray whales and snorkeling along with a handsome dive master within 10 feet of the mammoth whale sharks… just to name a few. Rest assured, safety is paramount with Tara and her staff. They go the extra nine yards to make your experience unique. -

July 2018 - Alaska: This was simply a wonderful trip. The best thing about Tara‘s trips, besides the destinations, is that everything is just incredibly well planned and communicated. I have never been a fan of organized tours, but I didn’t … More really want to explore Alaska on my own. This trip was perfect for me. I went solo, but met an amazing group of women and I got to do tons of things that I wouldn’t even have known how to organize on my own. The Alaska trip was especially great because we didn’t really spend a lot of time doing touristy things but rather hiking and exploring and really getting to know Alaska. In fact, everything about the trip was great: the lodging, the transportation, the activities and especially the food!I’d go back in a heartbeat if I didn’t have so many other Green Edventure trips I want to take!March 2021 - Baja Mexico:. Another fantastic trip! I’ve never been to Baja, and it’s so beautiful. Camping on the beach, where our five or so tents and our mess tent were the only signs of people on the island was just enchanting. The experiences we had with the sea lions, the whale sharks, the gray whales and the dolphins were just beyond description. I wanted to take a trip that would get me outside and in nature but yet still be peaceful and relaxing and this trip was both. Once again, the women were great and tons of fun. What a treat it was to go on this adventure! Tara is the best. -

My students and I recently returned from a Green Edventures trip to Roatan, Hunduras. I believe the most accurate description of the excursion is life-changing. My students and I are from the Midwestern United States. We were able to … More do things that most of us had never dreamed of. From diving on shipwrecks and swimming with dolphins, this tour offered incredible experiences that my students and I will never forget. The trip is well planned and curated such that we were able to get as much out of it as possible. Honestly, just when we thought one particular day was the best one of the trip, the next day came along and supplanted it. This is the second trip I've done with Green Edventures (Alaska). I cannot recommend them more highly. I wish there were 10 stars. Thanks so much. -

I took my class to Florida for their 8th grade trip. We were excited to swim with the manatees, snorkel in beautiful springs, kayak amazing rivers and explore the coast in an airboat. I knew going in that having an educator who would … More connect with my students and inspire them to learn as much as possible would make or break the trip. Our educator, Kristen, went above and beyond anything I could have hoped for. She was AMAZING!!! Kristen used every minute of our trip to teach my kids about the environment, answered all their questions and pushed them beyond what they thought they were capable of doing. Green Edventures also held my hand throughout the process and guided me every step of the way. Everything was very well organized and as a result my students had an experience they will always cherish. -

This was the first time I had travelled with GreenEdventures .Tara Short, the owner specialises in expert-led cultural and worldwide tours.Group numbers are small, accommodation luxurious, very comfortable with private bathrooms and the … More food excellent. The Tanzania Safari trip I experienced, had expert guides. Baraza and Karato who accompanied us were outstanding - passionate, informative, engaging and entertaining. Of the many Green Edventures trips I have gone on, the Greenland trip was mind blowing. The land and people are rugged and beautiful. From traversing rocks and glaciers to seeing how the Greenlandic people live, the trip was truly educational … More and required that I suspend notions of how things "should" be. From hunting to sled dogs to the land, Greenland is just rugged. You think you know until you get there.Green Edventures always finds the best local guides to ensure we get the best experience. As we traveled from island to island, it was apparent that without a local guide we never would have been able to see and do everything that was accomplished in our time there. We had to pivot a few times due to weather or ice movement, but the changes were seamless and the change was as good or better than the original plan.I keep reflecting on a conversation with a gentleman from another tour company. He asked what we did the last couple days. My response was, we climbed to a glacier, saw an ice cave, an abandoned Army base (fascinating!) and went kayaking. When I asked what he did, his response was we saw a dancer (we did too) and went to a movie. He was clearly disappointed. I was glad I was with Green Edventures!Go to Greenland, you will be amazed.Take any Green Edventure trip, you won't be disappointed!
