Emily Benz
Tour Leader
Emily is eager to get back to Iceland to swim between the continental plates, linger under the endless waterfalls, wander below the basalt columns on the black sand beach, and take several dips in the geothermal pools. When she isn’t traveling or planning trips, Emily runs a small community- and human-building business called Rural Remedy. At home, she wrangles two young kids and a husband, cooks fresh from scratch daily, and is always trying new ways to move and create connections.
She has dreams to travel to Indonesia and Thailand, the Oregon coast, the Pantanal and the Amazon River. Emily can talk about biology, human anatomy, and zoology with enthusiasm, because to her, all life is fascinating and incredible.
As a tea drinker, she makes sure she has something herbal to sip on when she travels.
“From the moment we arrived and met our guides Emily and Inga, we were put at ease and knew we were in for a good trip. The knowledge of these two and the care that was put into the accommodations, hikes, water experiences, the food choices, the routes taken, even the cool van that we used for the duration of the journey; it all was created with such care.” – Annie C. (Iceland Multi-Sport)
“Emily, our guide, was thoughtful, attentive and helpful in showing us the best Iceland has to offer. I was very hesitant to book a group tour, but after my experience with Green Edventures, I’m ready to sign up again. Thank you, Emily and Green Edventures, for facilitating this amazing opportunity.” -Tennille P (Iceland)
